iTunes 9 as an example of software flaws

But my note is not at all about what a good / bad office is. I just wanted to share some observations about the quality of the main component of any modern device - the software implementation of the control of this (software, if in Russian).
We will not go far, here iTunes has just been updated to the ninth version (09.09.09 - what a date!). Marafet was not weak, the tuna now fits much better into the overall style of Snow Leo, there is no trace of the dark background of the mesh interface, and the overall speed of work subjectively slightly increased. But what is strange is the behavior of Genius in different versions of aytyuns.
So, on the minic is 4458 songs with a total volume of about 38 gig (12 days of listening according to tuna calculations), quite enough for genius playlists, which was proved by the almost instantaneous creation of twelve mixes of various lengths.
Without going into arguments about the dubious benefits of Genius Mixes, I’ll only note the limitations of their use (not creating them from an iPhone / tach, and scrolling through the mixes on the first-generation iPod Touch results in brakes, overheating, and flying home).
But back to oursheep geniuses.
The eight pleased me with their genius in terms of making good playlists from any songs, almost always guessing my preferences. Here is a screen of a typical list compiled on the basis of a single composition by the group Haste The Day (they play an alternative heavy song, so to speak):
Tuna 8.2.1 easily threw a six-hour playlist of 99 similar pieces from artists of different scalls.
I was led to Jobs stories, updated iTunes to nine, updated Genius, decided to try running it on already familiar tracks, and this is what he gave me:
23 songs ?? And only one coincidence in musical directions - POD ???
Apparently, the tuna brainwashed weakly ...
Without thinking twice, I recovered from the SuperDuper backup (I do not trust TimeMachine and its thirst to free space on my hard drives), I made sure of my guesses, muddied the screenshots and wrote this opus.
