After installing Windows 7 x64 on the desktop, there was a very big desire not to demolish it. It works quickly, not buggy, beautiful in the end + finally, the rights of users are limited by the mind and so on. In general, well, everyone is happy ... except for one ...
It just so happened that I’m sitting on the Zend Studio Client since the 3rd version and it suits me all. However, the 6th and 7th branches on the eclipse turned out to be surprisingly slow, soggy and buggy. Attempts to run Zend 5.5 on Windows 7 have failed. Zend didn’t say a word just flying out at boot time. I decided that I was outdated and it was time to get used to new technologies.
About 2-3 weeks I tested Zend 7, PDT, NetBeans and other Aptana there. Zend 7 immediately sickened, very inhibited. PDT seemed like an interesting thing. And generally eclipse in general was pleasant. Put a couple of plug-ins and it seemed to be all that is necessary. However, it quickly got tired that for some reason the encoding is constantly lost. And then altogether eclipse stopped working. When I tried to open any php file, I wrote that the TextEditor error and said there. I couldn’t even unload normally, when I tried to close the error crashed and it did not close =)
At first, NetBeans seemed very interesting, but refused to work normally with sftp (well, I am so paranoid), so I also went to the basket. Aptana is essentially analogous to PDT and inherits all the same bugs that I encountered in eclipse and PDT.
But before yelling “I'm an idiot, kill me someone !! 1! 11” and put something like phpEdit out of despair, I still decided to try to deal with Zend 5. I remembered that I put Windows to a slave in the office for the test 7 x32 on the desktop, he also had problems with Zend 5, but it loaded, just the interface did not plow. Having a little thought up the topic, it dawned on me that maybe it is just worth updating jre, which was bundled with Zend 5, and that’s because happiness has worked !!!
So, what should be done to make Zend 5 work on Windows 7:- Installing Zend 5. Torrent, Vorezniki, Russia.
- We download the last JRE , or (as I did) we take a working JRE under windows 7, for example from the last eclipse (PDT, Aptana etc.).
- Replace the jre directory in the Zend 5 working directory with a new one.
- We are happy with the result!
This is how it is =) I, with happiness, went to write something useful =)
