Apple invented the iPod keyboard

Apple has applied for a patent describing the keyboard of a personal computer, equipped with a built-in control wheel, similar to that used in iPod iPod wheel clickwheel.

According to Apple, the described keyboard, in addition to a set of keys, contains a rotary input device: "Using electronic circuits, information is read from the device and transmitted to the computer and can be used to control the elements of the graphical user interface when this input device rotates."

“The keypad also has a button combined with a rotary input device. As can be seen in Figure 7A, this button can be placed in the center of the rotational element of the input device. Nevertheless, the presence of this button is not mandatory, and it can be placed anywhere, including outside the rotary element, ”the application says.
