The story of one invite

I began to work on getting an invite since October 2008. That's when I first heard about Habr on the CMS Drupal site. The author of the article “Shvabrshvabr or a collective blog with his own hands” talked about how to create a site similar to Habra based on CMS Drupal.

I liked the new principle of community functioning for me. And the very subject of IT, is of interest to me as a hobby. And the most important thing is that Habr is a “self-regulating system”. As a conflictologist, I enjoy observing the processes taking place inside her.

So I began to read regularly Habr, subscribing to the main tape and several tapes of interesting sections to me. Once a month, when I had enough time, I wrote articles for the sandbox. Usually they did not pass pre-moderation. I calmly responded to the letters:

Since I have few friends in the IT community, the invitation gift option has disappeared. People with Habra with whom I became friends during this time had no invites.

The key moment in my story came June 21 of this year. Then in the Habr's news feed I read the Maxter topic entitled “Why Twitter is a geek?” . Since I accidentally had a month of free time, I immediately began to study Twitter. A week later, I realized that what I was looking for in social networks was already on Twitter. After all, Twitter is a huge information field updated in the "real time" mode, providing anyone with virtually unlimited opportunities for research and analysis.

Somehow, I will definitely write the article “How to manage humanity with Twitter ʻa. A manual for the novice emperor. " And " The ideal tool of authoritarianism of the XXI century . " But now I will tell you how I got an invite to Habr using Twitter.

There is a Twitter search service that allows you to search through tweets. We drive in there "an invite to habr" and ...



And you get access to the information we are interested in and nothing more :) By the way, the search results at the time of writing the topic, remains the same as yesterday morning :)

The most important thing is that the results are broadcast in RSS format. And another widget appeared on my iGoogle homepage.

I visit the iGoogle page on average 4 times per hour. There I have a small "information analysis center." So I found out that sovetnik tweeted
