Youtube will show Hollywood movies online
Negotiations are underway with Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., Sony Corp., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. and the Warner Brothers studio of Time Warner Inc., reports The Wall Street Journal.
The video service offers film studios the following scheme of work: users are able to watch movies on Youtube, and each viewing is paid for separately. Studios receive royalties from each viewing. It is assumed that the Internet will be available not only old pictures, but also new items that go on DVD.
Neither the film studios, nor the video service itself does not comment on the rumors about the negotiations.
