The new “wooden” coating is called ASUS NeoWood and looks (texture) is no different from this tree. It does not differ from him in tactile sensations. The only difference of the new product is much greater durability and resistance to external influences. This was achieved thanks to new developments in the field of synthetic materials, and, it should be admitted, it looks very unusual and beautiful.
The second material, which will be equipped with new products of the manufacturer, is an aluminum coating ASUS Satin-brushed Aluminum with fine polishing, manufactured using evaporative metallization technology ( NCVM , Non-conductive Vapor Metallization ). The use of this technology for the manufacture of coatings allowed us to achieve an interesting and beautiful texture, as well as good wear resistance in everyday conditions. In particular, the coating is highly resistant to scratches and fingerprints, providing the notebook body with additional mechanical strength and reliability. The new coverage is also notable for the fact that it does not interfere with the operation of wireless communication modules such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, as has happened with other metallized finishes. The coating is a matte metal surface with numerous parallel small "scratches" from polishing, which provides an interesting play of light on the device. The coating will be made in various color shades.
At the moment, the technology "tree" can be found in the laptop ASUS N60Sf , and aluminum with fine polishing - in the same N60Sf , in ASUS N81Vf and in ASUS N51Vn . All of these laptops are based on Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology , providing excellent battery life and impressive multimedia capabilities.
Obviously, ASUS will not stop at the models listed above by introducing advanced materials into the design of all new models of its technology.
