The regional project BUSINESS CITY YAROSLAVL was launched on the Internet in early 2007.



During 3 months, services were tested, and various focus groups were conducted among potential customers and users.

Business City is ready to launch a large-scale advertising campaign. But after the research, it was concluded that even if the portal will generate powerful traffic (which will be given only with great difficulty), will it be able to convert it into real income?



Company analysts do not see in today's regional RuNet a serious business model that could provide the project with a steady income.



The culture of using the Internet in the region is quite low. 95% of companies do not even understand why they should be present on the Internet. For them, this is all “too virtual and suspicious.” Although Yandex has a good Internet region index. And on dating services a large number of Yaroslavl users are registered, - although this is largely due to the general Russian trend.



In May-June 2007, this resource will open 3 more services. While this is classified information. But now we can say that 2 of them will be “know-how” in RuNet.



Now, however, the company faces the following questions:



1. How can I show the business community and other users that the regional Internet should also live? That here you can see the desired content and quality services.



2. How to convert traffic to income in the regions. How can you tell a business that you are advertising in print media with a circulation of 5,000 copies, and we have such a number of visits every day (the situation of the future). What can you earn at all?



3. With which company can you make a joint service that will force everyone to use this resource? How now use the programs 1C-accounting. Does anyone have any ideas here?
