Book on ozon.ru , books.ruThe book is a classic cyberpunk, written in accessible language, covering the events of the Second World War and the Internet boom - the mid-nineties.
Only in this book you can read about Turing's youth, see the war with your own eyes, read about Van Eyck's interception and learn about cryptography.
To be honest, I'm a little surprised by the lack of a topic about this book on Habré. Read in one breath, despite the large number of pages.
In what other book are the artistic and scientific styles of speech so easily intertwined? Where else can you read about the emergence of computers, the emergence of a network and cryptography with such ease?

When you read this book, it seems that the author specifically wants to confuse, then moving in time, then introducing another abbreviation or concept, which will be written through the floor of the book. However, this does not in the least complicate the reading of a book, but only makes you think more often.

“There is a surprisingly close parallel between the tasks of a physicist and a cryptographer. The system by which the message is encrypted corresponds to the laws of the Universe, the intercepted messages to the available observations, the keys of the day or messages to the fundamental constants that must be determined. The similarity is great, but with the subject of cryptography it is very easy to operate using discrete mechanisms, but physics is not so simple. ”Alan Turing, from the preface to the novel
