I want to share with you one interesting meditation (meditation, as is well known - the oldest method of stress management), which my teacher shared with me in that bright time when I was interested in various spiritual practices.

One Lao monk shared with my teacher her time. And it came to us in unchanged form (not counting the translation) after many centuries.
The purpose of this meditation is to achieve a stable balanced state and stress tolerance, to put it simply, to stop worrying, freaking out and worrying on various occasions, and be able to make well-considered cold-blooded decisions in any situation (quarreled with the customer, deceived contractors, my girlfriend's brain took out, the boss was an idiot, the site went to bed , but there is little reason to steam up).
Step 1.
We find a convenient place so that no one distracts for 10-30 minutes and we say to ourselves:
- I am peace
- I am surrounded by peace
- Peace is harboring me
- Peace keeps me
- Rest in me
- This peace is mine.
- All is well
Step 2.
We do nothing except think about peace and let thoughts of peace flow. What is it, why is it needed, what is the meaning of it, etc.
Step 3.
Imagine peace. Simply choose an image or something that will be associated with peace. Someone has a burning candle, someone has an ocean. For example, I have a thick fog, like smoke from a good hookah.
For a while, we keep this image of peace with any variations and “saturate” them.
')
Step 4.
We present ourselves in situations (real or fictional), where we lacked rest and where we really need to be calm. And we imagine these same situations, but we are already calm in them.
Step 5.
Exactly repeat step 3.
Step 6.
Exactly repeat step 2.
Step 7.
Exactly repeat step 1.
Finished.
PS : This thing works and the desired state in the right situations (and stable) is achieved. And almost regardless of whether you believe in it or not. The only condition is to do it regularly.
PPS : Many probably guessed that according to the same scheme, you can “pump” any one of your quality or condition, replacing “peace”. Some people, on the contrary, do not have enough energy or even hot temper.
If you have questions - write, I myself wonder how anyone works this meditation.
