Kon Kolivas (the author of the once famous ck kernels) has released his sheduler for desktop systems running linux. At the same time, he was guided not by super-honesty and mythical extensibility, but by the performance of his working computer.

The situation beaten up in the picture is the trouble of many open-source programmers - they write frameworks and common-systems-everything and do not want to correct obvious flaws, simply because the presence of these flaws is due to the thinness of their system. Linus is no exception.

I hope someday BFS will be included in the kernel and it can be enabled just from menuconfig.
