Ebay sold skype

Authoritative publications such as NYTimes, CNN, Bloomberg and others reported that Ebay is going to sell Skype for $ 2 billion.
Skype's revenue for the last year amounted to $ 600 million and it is planned to reach 1 billion by 2011.
An official Ebay management statement is due today, September 1st.
The group of private investors who are going to buy Skype, consists of Andreessen Horowitz (Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen) as well as the venture capital company Index Ventures (invested in Skype at the beginning of its development) and Silver Lake Partners.

Well, apparently the company Ebay refused an IPO, which would have to happen in March of 2010th year. We will wait for official statements

Ebay sold Skype, with the following conditions: 65% will be owned by new investors, 35% will remain the property of Ebay. The deal is valued at 2.75 billion dollars.
