The CryptoPad service (
http://www.cryptopad.org/ ), designed for secure storage of information, was launched into beta testing in April of this year (review on Habré
habrahabr.ru/blogs/startup/57205 ).
The service was met by the public with interest, but immediately a large number of comments were made, which helped us a lot in working on the product. Now we are ready to offer a new version to the court of users, in which we tried to take into account many wishes and advice.
New version features:
- Separate pages for organizing stored information. Pages can be created, deleted and renamed, to go to the desired page, just select its name from the list.
- The design of the text. You can create headings of different levels, highlight text with color and font style, emphasize and cross out fragments to make information storage more visual.
- The on-screen keyboard for entering a password will help keep it secret when working in an unsafe environment (for example, from an internet cafe).
- The function to exit the notebook by pressing a button, while the password and stored data are deleted from the browser memory, even if the browser itself continues to work.
Despite the expansion of capabilities, the service remains as easy to use. To register, just go to the main site
www.cryptopad.org and choose a name for your notebook, and then enter and confirm the password. In the name of the notebook, you can use Cyrillic and other national alphabets. As before, for ease of access, each notebook is placed on its third-level sub-domain in the cryptopad.org domain.

All data previously registered users were transferred to the new version, so those of you who have already used the service will be able to continue to store their data in the new interface. The rest are welcome!
Your comments and suggestions are still very important for the development of the project, so comments are extremely welcome.
If you like the service, my colleague, who participated in its development, will receive an invitation to Habr.UPD: Answers to some popular questions.
1. The password change function is one of the first in the queue in the new version.
2. For correct work in IE with its paranoid attitude to JavaScript security, it is highly recommended to add * .cryptopad.org to the "Trusted Sites" (this information is in the Documentation).
