Top three car racing

How to occupy hands away from home or work if they are already busy with an iPhone. The answer is simple download and play games. I love racing. Honestly, I was quite skeptical about the first races for iPhone, because for good races you need at least buttons, and better a steering wheel with pedals. The iPhone itself is a steering wheel, my constant hero will object - an attentive reader. Now imagine that you have to hold the steering wheel in your car, not attached to anything, and twist it like that. Strange! So the game developers and Apple itself offer to do just that.

Despite all the inconvenience of the games in the “Race” genre for iPhone, there are already countless of them - you can chase almost everything, from motorcycles and aquabikes to indecent spaceships.

Need for speed undercover

EA just couldn't do badly. EA did well, only very arcade. The good old days of racing are back again: the car is driving along a track, the track is only slightly changing direction, and it is completely impossible to turn onto an adjoining street. But you can go into drift, slow down the course of time, buy new cars, do their tuning. Dynamic and exciting gameplay provided. The main advantage of NFSU is amazing graphics. Against the background of other games, it seems that EA just stepped over the edge of the possible. Before NFSU, no one had such graphics.

Bottom line: exciting arcade racing for 4-5 days.

Fastlane street racing

This is the first normal race appeared in the AppStore. All previous had a complete bullshit. Very difficult, but no less fascinating race. A lot of cars, though completely unreal, though remotely resembling the appearance of some very expensive sports cars. On the other hand, where will independent developers get the money for licensing real models? However, all machines are significantly different from each other.

In the main game mode - arcade, as usual you are chasing opponents along various tracks that open as you progress through the game. In the second mode, you yourself become an opponent: you have to drive the route without touching the fences, have time to drive the required number of laps and catch up with your opponent. All for a while.

At the very beginning it is necessary to suffer literally a couple of hours, get used to the management, get into the spirit of the game and provide you with several weeks of exciting races. For those who want to feel the game for free, there is a light version .

Bottom line: cool race with interesting physics for a couple of weeks.

Firemint realracing

The latest game in the top three. The name of the game is not at all accidental, the Fire Mint company tried to wring out the maximum realism of the apple phone. In contrast to realism in the game there are opportunities to turn on a virtual assistant who will help slow down at the right time, which is very useful for beginners. All races are held on the ring tracks. Cars are divided into several classes and, as was the case in the Fastlane RealRacing, similar to real-life models, but called as something strange.

RealRacing did not accidentally hit the last place. As a race, it’s just beautiful, but it’s unlikely to be exciting and varied. For very boring, there is even a view from the cabin with the steering wheel and instruments. It should also be noted that these are the only races from the list that are developing - while I was writing this review, another fourth class of cars appeared in the game: a trifle, but nice.

Bottom line: fans of racing - for six months.

All other car races in the AppStore, to put it mildly, are not very high-quality - ask for a free Lite version before purchasing, so that you don’t get disappointed.

PS Steering wheel for iPhone in the introductory picture - not my personal nonsense, but a real product .
