Time to envy Australian students (Digital Education Revolution - a laptop for learning)

The NSW (New South Wales) Digital Education Revolution is a program that provides Lenovo IdeaPad S10e notebooks from grades 9 through 12 of public schools. The laptop is preinstalled with Windows 7, as well as a set of software necessary for learning, which includes both products from Microsoft (Office, Maths, ...) and Adobe (Photoshop Elements, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, ...) and Apple ( iTunes) and from Google (SketchUp), and more, in general, a large set. Each student will be given the opportunity to sign a license, after which he will be able to take the laptop home after school, with the condition that he will bring it fully charged the next day. Moreover, if the laptop is lost or stolen, they will replace it. I met somewhere that initially there will be about 200,000 laptops.

This program is even accompanied by video materials (in principle, there is nothing interesting in the video, just a story about the program):

PS What do you think is better, to repair school classes and buy computers there (and spend huge amounts of money on all this) or give out laptops to schoolchildren?

Progg it
