A day ago I had a problem, the mail ceased to go through an absolutely standard port 25. Since the Internet itself worked quite stably, I began to actively nick a hoster (family mail), and only after having slept decided to check, but in general, is there access to an smtp server? It turned out, everything is very interesting.

It turns out, as I already explained to three employees of the TP of Corbina (I specifically called back three times to make sure), the entire network, at least Moscow, has port 25 blocked. Quite and tight. There is no notification, either by mail, or in your personal account, or via SMS, an information black hole.
By default, the average level of protection is permanently enabled, which, in general, does not interfere, it does some of its work against the background and is completely invisible. It turns out that Corbina herself switched me to another level of protection of her firewall, without notifying me. Moreover, the “specialists” of the first line of the TP were surprised at my question - “why didn’t they notify me?”. They say that this is normal.
Plus, after I set the usual value on this ill-fated page, and after rebooting the VPN, port did not open for 40 minutes. And only after a series of reboots - everything began to work.

A few days later I’m going to the Internet under the wing of Beeline (since I spend a lot of money on my mobile - there’s a more tasty speed for the same money) - I decided to call and clarify how things are going with them.
Firstly, port 25 is blotted individually on the user's port, read on his shoelace. There are several reasons, a flooding card, a Trojan card on a machine, or you are a novice spammer.
Secondly, Beeline's TP is trained in a different program than Corbina's TP, and they are not related to each other (if during a call to Corbina's TP I need to be explained in the user's language - “the mail does not work”, and they answer me similarly - “press Start "And just completely enter into a stupor with the word Linux, then in Beeline everything is simpler -" there is no connection on port 25, I checked this and that. "That's all I mean about the first TP line, by the way).
Thirdly, the call from the mobile, for me, as a customer of Beeline, is free, and I spent about 30 minutes on conversations and quarrels with Corbina, it is my fault that there is no urban one, but it happened. Callback no.
I do not want to impose anything on anyone — but dear Corbin — it’s not possible. It is impossible not to respond to emails that are written to support @. You can not put on the support of people who print with a speed of ~ 70 characters per minute. You can not just take and block port 25, without notice. Many things can not - but you do it? What for? Unclear.
