Skype 2.1 for Linux Beta

After a long lull, Skype finally updated the version for Linux. From the site you can download beta Skype for Linux desktop 2.1.

In the new version:

• Support for new SILK audio codec
• High quality video support
• PulseAudio support
• Sending SMS (requires Skype Credit)
• Contact groups
• Labels / tags for more convenient organization of contacts
• Improvements to the chat window (indication of the dialed answer, editing posts, etc.)
• Improved mood / status and video contact list design
• Improved tray icon =)
