In September, Intel, in addition to the Core i7 and i5, is also going to show the version of Core 2 Quad. The novelty, which, apparently, will be the last processor in the series, is based on the 45-nm Yorkfield architecture and is intended for motherboards with an LGA775 socket.
Core 2 Quad Q9500 is clocked at 2.83 GHz and is a stripped-down version of the Q9550. Unlike the Core 2 Quad Q9550, the new processor has a double-cut cache (6 MB instead of 12). In addition, the new technology supports Intel VT-d and Intel TXT.
