A set of drivers for guest Windows under KVM

A month ago, Microsoft shocked the Linux-community with the release of its own set of drivers for LinuxIC virtual machines, and under the GPLv2 license, and asked to include this code in the Linux kernel. These drivers from Microsoft, if included in the kernel, would improve the performance of Linux virtual machines running Windows Server 2008 running on the Hyper-V hypervisor.

Of course, the Linux community initially proudly refused such a gift under the pretext that the driver set disrupts the familiar development process of Linux applications, does not fully comply with the GPLv2 license, and in general, Linux and without these drivers can perfectly work under Hyper-V .

Now Red Hat has published a similar set of para -virtual drivers for Windows virtual machines running Linux under the KVM hypervisor. One of the viostor drivers provides support for Storport, which is very important for high-performance systems. Another kvmnet driver provides network support.

In principle, this step can be viewed as a response gesture from Red Hat as a sign of gratitude for LinuxIC. So, despite the hype in the press, on forums and blogs, de facto collaboration with Microsoft continues at the developer level. So what's wrong with that?
