How often have there been cases when a friend asked you to “borrow” your PC for a couple of minutes to check mail / rss-feeds / forum? I think often. And how often we asked to use someone else's computer to access the Internet? Even if you have not had such cases, they will definitely be in the future.
You go on a business trip, but you do not have a netbook, and you would like to be in touch, you agree to borrow a netbook. You actively use a netbook, out of habit keep passwords, automatically remember users on the site, in general, you feel at home. Returned home, spent half an hour clearing the history of visiting sites, cookies, saved passwords, etc. And still, giving the laptop, you do not leave the feeling that you forgot to erase something, personal data is personal data and other people do not need to know about them.
There are a million such cases: I’ll check email at an internet cafe, go to a page on classmates / VKontakte (so far without them). How to guarantee the security of our personal data?
New functionality IE8 allows you to solve these problems efficiently and quickly. Microsoft gives us 3 technologies:
- InPrivate mode allows you to control how IE saves your browsing history, cookies, and other data.
- Delete browser log.
- InPrivate Filter informs you about pages that can view your browsing history, and allows you to stop it.
InPrivate Mode
New InPrivate Mode:
- Does not save new cookie files.
- All new cookie files live until the window is closed.
- Previously created cookies remain available.
- DOM Storage works on the same principle as cookies.
- Viewed sites will not be remembered in the history of visits.
- Temporary files will be deleted after closing the window.
- Form data is not saved.
- Passwords are not saved
- Addresses entered into the address bar are not saved.
- Queries entered in the search field are not saved.
- Visited links are not saved.
Activate InPrivate Mode

You get a new window with a characteristic label in the address bar.

Delete browser log.
This feature exists from version 7 of IE. It allows you to delete any information stored by the browser in one click.

I especially like the care of the user, which allows you to delete absolutely everything, excluding the data of sites that are added to Favorites.
')
Microsoft listened to user feedback and added another feature, like deleting the browsing history after closing the browser.

InPrivate Filtering
Allows you to control access to third-party web applications that can track your visits. Many people know that you can track the movement of users through sites without using cookies. Every time you view a page, IE locally stores information about interaction with third-party elements, as well as where the request comes from. For example, you visit first.com and second.com, with snippets in the body page:
