After the topic about the lenses, I decided to write about a more cardinal method of solving the problem with eyesight. This LASIK (acronym Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis - “laser keratomillosis”) is a modern method of vision correction using an excimer laser. If you want to permanently get rid of glasses or lenses, but are afraid or want to learn more about modern methods of vision correction, then this topic is for you. I don’t recommend reading at a meal, it may be unpleasant.
Contraindications
There are a number of limitations in which laser correction cannot be done. These are pregnancy , age (possible from 18 to 45), corneal thickness (less than 440-450 mm), glaucoma and cataract . Laser vision correction is not performed when: Myopia more than -15,0D Farsightedness over + 6,0D Astigmatism over ± 3,0D
Data
After laser correction, vision does not change. That is, if you are cured at 30, then at 40 you will see as well. Provided that you had myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism. ')
Laser vision correction is the most modern technique and is quite safe ( risk from 3 to 6% ). The degree of risk is purely individual, so you need to consult with your doctor before the operation.
Laser correction is fast. The operation takes an average of 15 minutes , and after 2 hours you will have good vision.
Laser correction is completely predictable . The doctor before the operation can tell you whether you can achieve 100% of your vision or not.
How is the laser correction
If you want to see in more detail what LASIK is, you can watch the video. This is the only normal animation I have found (the rest of the videos are recorded live, not for the faint of heart).
