ICQ nicknames and [COMPAD]

Just now, in my ICQ, which I use through Miranda IM, a mysterious [COMPAD] has been added to my nickname. A quick look at the contact list showed that many also had such an additive.
It seems that ICQ is preparing for the transition to a multi-protocol client ComPad , which they themselves are developing. Or they decided to consider all “alternatives” among the ComPad users.
