iPhone - teaches foreign languages

Apple iPhone gave an impetus to the development of language learning tools. The Hong Kong company Chris Lonsdale and Partners is now mastering the fullest potential of this smartphone. In the list of recent developments - the Chinese course “Third Ear”, which in two weeks allows you to master the language at the initial level. By the way, Chris Lonsdale himself perfectly learned Chinese in 6 months.

The general idea is that words are better remembered when they are associated with melodies. Each word from the "Third Ear" corresponds to a sample. Having mastered some vocabulary, the user proceeds to the next stage, while on the phone, videos are played in which native speakers show how to pronounce words and phrases correctly. The program is divided into many stages and you can switch from one to another only by completing a series of actions - correctly pronounce the phrase, translate, etc.

Now the company has completed the development of a variant of the “Third Ear” for learning English. “Our target audience is people from 25 to 50 who need English, but who believe that learning it is unrealistic,” says Lonsdale.

The company will sell an iPhone or iPod Touch (if anyone has forgotten, this is the same, but without a phone: -) to corporate clients at 5,800 yuan ($ 850) with a language program. In addition to the player, the kit includes a semi-annual English course with lessons, exercises and memory training sessions.

All performance data is stored on the server, so company managers who are responsible for staff training can monitor how often the program is used and how successful the student is.

Each copy of the program is protected and works only on one phone for one user. Otherwise, to work in the Chinese market, known for large-scale piracy, it is impossible.

Recall that, according to various estimates, from 15,000 to 65,000 different programs have already been created for the iPhone.
