Apple UK "divulged" the date of the start of sales of OS X Snow Leopard — August 28, 2009

Proponents of the seductive version “System 10.6 on Friday 28th” unexpectedly got a new argument: the Apple UK online store showed a page with information on the purchase of OS X Snow Leopard as part of the Up-to-Date program (the ability to upgrade the operating system to latest models of Macs at the lowest price). The main highlight in this find was the start date of shipments of ordered discs - August 28, 2009, a month before the release of Windows 7.
