SpringSource acquired CloudFoundry, Terracotta hired the Ehcache developer

Before the talk of buying SpringSource by VMware, the EMC joined CloudFoundry for these two subsidiaries of EMC . She is engaged in hosting Java applications on the Amazon EC2 platform, providing a CentOS + Apache HTTPD + Apache Tomcat + MySQL + Hyperic configured for the contact, and a web interface for monitoring and managing applications. A part of the project is available as OpenSource . Along with the recent price drop for reserved EC2 servers hosting Spring, Grails and other Java applications is becoming more accessible.


Another OpenSource company Terracotta , which develops and maintains a library for distributed caching of Java applications (in particular, Spring, Hibernate) has hired the Ehcache developer and now plans to integrate this library into its project.
