Ladies and gentlemen, I want to talk about the question-idea that has been haunting me for some time.
The fact is that I am a fan of various platforms (Windows, MacOS, WinMobile), and in connection with this I am faced with the problem of data synchronization.
Yes, there are many different solutions for synchronizing data between these platforms, but all these solutions do not reach the “ideal”. I describe the real situation: MacOS with FireFox and WinMobile with Opera, there is nothing to synchronize. And there are a lot of similar situations under all platforms. Developers push us to work with software that they are interested in (they develop, they promote, etc.), and not with what users use. those. no choice for the consumer. agree that it is at least not convenient. In this regard, I was visited by the idea that in the finished version I could not find a solution that would allow me to synchronize what we want with what we want. Yes, there is MobileMe and similar services, there are some solutions for linux, but they are all the same half-way solution as ActiveSync, Missing Sync, etc. Indeed, in fact, all extensibility rests only in writing support for various data for a specific client, because the data itself does not change at all, i.e. in essence, there should be a “server” solution for storing the data itself + a client application that will take data from the server, form it into the format necessary for the application with which this data should be synchronized.
I am not a developer, but it seems to me that such a solution is quite realistic, while it seems to me that it will be quite popular (well, am I not the only one who is so unhappy?).
maybe someone will be interested in this idea for implementation (I can paint more specifically, with pictures, diagrams, etc.), or maybe someone in the know about the development of such software is already underway?

Well, or even tell me - what do you think about this?
