After the publication of the
Intel Atom colocation article, battles ensued here on the habr, and in the hosters' den (on hostobzor). At the cost of inhuman efforts :-) some companies managed to convince that this (colocation of nettops) can be profitable. I propose to readers of Habr to participate in the first placement of nettops in DC (M-101, Moscow) - details under the cut.
I remind you - this is an opportunity to fuck your server with
2-4GB of memory, a normal channel and disk IO at the price of a stray VPS .
By the way, a good example of how Habr can make the world a better place :-)
What where When?
A company that has decided to experiment -
eServer , as long as there are no such tariffs on the site - you need to find a sufficient number of applicants, do not put 1-2 nettops in DC at that price (which, I remind, is about 2.5-3 times less than the cost of placing the "big" server) I’m looking for the right number of people who want it now. Now we all go to Agave. The eserver did not work out.
')
If within 1-1.5 weeks it is interesting for you to put
ASUS EEE Box B202 or
Acer Aspire Revo in the data center - write to gemme_atom_colo@14.by (the parser refuses to do mailto) Full name, how many pieces do you have and the desired date - and I will write it off centrally in eServer, details will be in this article. The first batch of nettops comes without a setup fee, later there can be some sort of setup fee, since in the standard stand nettop not put.
If you have questions - ask here in the comments.
I remind you that this is colocation - you still need to buy a device. I recommend taking Revo, and put 4GB of memory in it. And you can also put SSD.
What we are offered:
- Placing ASUS EEE Box B202 or Acer Aspire Revo (strictly these models - the rest nettop more in size).
- Accommodation in DC M-101 (Warsaw highway)
- Subscription fee - 1000 rubles per month .
- Remote "manual" reboot - within 15 minutes during the day, up to 30 minutes at night.
- The Internet is 10 megabits. Either 1000GB of traffic without ratios, or 1/5 in / out (without geographic separation).
- 2 IP addresses from different class C networks
- Primary and secondary DNS servers (in different networks of class C)
- KVM and other additional services - according to the tariffs .
What do you think? Shred the VPS and "type cool shared-hosting for $ 30"? :-)
Update: Another 0 solid orders, and the process will go :-)
Update: The list of orders is gone hoster, read the mail :-)
Update:So the order is as follows.
Let everyone place an order on our website for a server with additional services that are needed. In the comments it says that it will be a collocation of Asus EEEBox or Acer on the proposal in Habrahabr.
Next, the client will change the tariff for the one we agreed on and he will be able to make a prepayment. After making the prepayment, managers will contact him and discuss the time of bringing the server to the office.
For those who are not in Moscow, they can order servers to the address of our office. Paying with cards or Yandex.Money already almost everything is accepted.
We will take the server in the office from 11 to 18 hours on weekdays.
All questions before shipping need to discuss with our office.
Update:antennas from wi-fi and front covers (like on her e-box, flip up, I don’t know if there is an acer), let it go right away
take off.
From myself I’ll add that the WiFi module can be removed from the miniPCI slot, and left for the future.
Update:The client is required to place an order and then after the manager’s call to come to the office with the equipment, all contracts and papers will be processed there.
