Sibirtelecom and anlim

The fact is that in Irkutsk only Sibirtelecom provides more or less decent Internet (including unlimited), there are of course other companies like Beeline or smaller companies, but their percentage is so small and services are miserable that only those who were rejected by Sibirtelecom for any reason.
So, for a long time everything was good with us - ADSL anlim at a speed of 512, for unreal money, but this did not surprise anyone, this situation was in every city whose population did not exceed one million people. But as time went on, speed grew, prices fell and we, mere mortals, were relatively happy ...

But then at Sibirtelecom we decided that we were already painfully well settled and we needed to do some kind of “shit” so that life would not appear as raspberries. After much deliberation, we decided to go for the trick - add new tariffs, reduce prices, but limit the traffic in the following way (quoted from the company's website):

The tariff plan “Highway 1024+” for the population implies unlimited access to the Internet and internal network resources, with the allocation to the subscriber of the channel bandwidth to the Internet resources up to 1024 Kbps. around the clock. If the volume of incoming Internet traffic of an individual subscriber of the tariff plan “Route 1024” exceeds 80 GB in a month, the Operator reserves the right to reduce the subscriber’s access to external Internet resources to 128 Kbps before the end of this month. At the same time, the access speed to intranet resources remains unchanged.

Cool, yeah? And so to all tariffs starting from the “Track 1024+”, with each subsequent increase in speed, the traffic increases by 20 gigabytes. Now the question is - who needs anlim with a speed of 10 megabytes and traffic of 180 gigabytes? Now the second question - is it anlim?
For example, at the time of this writing, I have 1 megabit, in September there will be 2, so that at least somehow there will be traffic. And now instead of carelessly surfing the Internet, watching HD videos, playing Xbox Live and downloading any damn things, I’ll have to go to the statistics website every day and keep an eye on what traffic would not exceed the limit. Sibirtelecom has nailed the basic idea of ​​anlim - no need to check how much you “worked on” on the Internet.

It is worth noting that one loophole for anlim is still left - this is the “Night Trail 512” tariff, where the speed rises to 1 megabit from 00:00 to 9:00 in the morning, this tariff has no traffic limit. In principle, for many it will be a way out, at least until Sibirtelecom thinks about it and returns everything as it was.

So let's hope that this idea of ​​traffic does not take root, and in October everything will be as usual (as statistics show, such ideas do not stay for more than a month).
