Launch of 1 Ukrainian space communication satellite

Thanks to the Unian source, it became known that Ukraine plans to launch its first space communications satellite by September 1, 2011 . The Ukrainian government has allocated 2 billion hryvnia for the development and launch of a satellite. In the development plan to take part such companies as: CB "Yuzhnoye", "Yuzhmash", "Hartron" and "Arsenal". Also, according to Unian , as of April 2010, the launch of the Earth remote sensing satellite is planned. The device will be placed into orbit with the help of the Dnepr launch vehicle. The useful weight of the satellite, which will be launched into an orbit with a height of 668 km, will be 158 kg. The satellite is designed to study the earth's surface in the optical range with a resolution of 6-7 m.
