Dear Habro users, I was faced with, in my opinion, indescribably unethical and frankly fraudulent behavior of Majordomo.
The story is. I decided to create a personal website: a blog, a portfolio, a platform, so that customers could show the completed work, and of course. Began to look after a domain name. I tried a couple of options and decided, without further ado, to check my domain name_family.ru. Here I must say that my last name is quite rare and the likelihood that someone will register such a domain and use it tends to zero. My surprise knew no bounds when I discovered that the domain is busy. Naturally, I typed this address in the address bar of the browser and saw the page as follows:
I don’t feel sorry for these 600 rubles, I’m just outraged by the fact: why should I pay them to the majordomo company - a cybersquatter? What will happen to the domain if I do not want to buy hosting from them? Who gives guarantees that tomorrow this domain will not be put up for sale again or will they do something else with it?
What generally can be done in such cases? Just forget about the domain?
