Last edited by reading the cre8or comment and reading what an approximation is, I was not lazy and walked up to the parameter in the search bar & start = 590 so the new and old Google started to show approximately similar numbers:
New Google: Results 591 - 600 of about 9,400,000 for Vladimir Putin. (2.20 seconds)
Old Google: Results 591 - 596 of about 9,980,000 for Vladimir Putin. (2.25 seconds)
Conclusion, do not trust the first page, go further, you will see approximately the exact result.
PPS was looking bad, it turned out there was a mention here , but still no separate topic passed. And only in comparison of search engines.
