Hey. On August 8, the first meeting of Coffee'n'Code was held in Kiev. An unusual format, a lot of interesting people. Accordingly, a lot of dating and new ideas. This event was followed by many proposals for reports at future meetings. From all sides - a positive result.

')

From the point of view of organization (advice to future generations), I can say that:

a) the more people, the more formalized meeting is obtained

b) think carefully about the sequence of speeches

c) at least briefly review the content of the upcoming report, and make 3 backup copies in case of a drowned flash drive

d) if more than 15 people are going to come to the event, there can be no talk of any cafe

d) no card will help. try to find a place that can be found without difficulty

After analyzing the feedbacks, add:

a) speaker, make a presentation with theses. Clear, clear, with humor! (all our speakers were praised)

b) people, it turns out, in their overwhelming majority, it is interesting to listen not only about their native technology, but also about other things unknown to them

c) it is generally convenient for people to have such events once a month (although my forecasts are not very positive about this)

d) Design Patterns & Success Stories (is this some kind of secret? .. strange, but many were interested in just this)

The happy faces of the programmers who came to the first Coffee'n'code can be seen here :
