Singing mug for the blind

The theme of helping blind people in recent months is especially popular with designers. Braun is no exception. The concept of Korean designers Sang-hoon Lee and Yong-bum Lim can deservedly, in my opinion, lay claim to the laurels in the nomination “Everything ingenious is simple.”

The essence of the invention is as follows: when a blind person pours boiling water into a mug, he is forced to find out by ear how much is left to the edge. Designers have simplified the method. In this circle there are three sensors on the walls and three buttons on the handle. The user selects the desired level with the button and when the water reaches the corresponding sensor, a beep sounds.
