Another broadcast today from “Echo” (“Big EchoNet”) is dedicated to Skype:

We take July 21, 2009 as the starting point - the day when the meeting of the commission of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on telecommunications and information technologies was held. It took place under the leadership of Sergey Lipatov, President of TransTeleCom. At this event, according to the official wording, issues of development and regulation of IP-telephony in Russia were raised.

On the same day, July 21, the user of the social service Habrahabr.Ru Goodlark wrote that she had attended this meeting and that the first deputy general director of Megafon gave a report that clearly disliked IP telephony as a phenomenon.
