Hello everyone, I just want to start with the process of creating one of our promotional website compressed in a few minutes (the work, by the way, was extremely exciting):
And so, it all started with the fact that the task appeared to make a promotional site for the new mmo-shooter from NCsoft, which is published in Russia by us - the Innova company. ')
At the same time, as almost always, there was very little time, and they asked to make it “cool”. Actually, since we believe that it came out with dignity, we want to describe further a very simple technical method, which, with its ordinariness, allows you to make quite spectacular sites. Everything is very simple and everyone knows - you can make a video from a series of pictures. From several beautiful photos, we make using flash the effect of moving around the fighter of the game Point Blank.
I probably incorrectly put it when I said about the “description of the technical method”, since everything is so obvious that it is easier to tell very briefly how the site was made:
During the discussion of the problem, our designer Denis comes up with the concept of moving around the details of the fighter's ammunition, everyone likes the idea.
We do our urban military by ourselves, dressing a large Dima in a suit bought and rented in some places.
Further, we take a lot of pictures and process them; pay attention, before you go to the studio - you need to know exactly which key frames you will use.
Our technologist Arseny makes flash with cunning, which is a little lower, and after the satisfaction of art director Sasha - everything is ready to go to the final assembly with texts, wallpaper and other things.
As a result, it was saved on:
drawing (everything was sfotkano)
typesetting and testing cross-browser compatibility (all in flash)
time, and that means money that is made up of our high wages =)
Finally, a couple of words about the flash component. First of all, a rather convenient tool was made that allows you to fasten any number of scenes with transitions between them, and we will use them in the future. Secondly, another important detail is the sequential loading:
Each scene is loaded separately and in the background, it greatly reduces the waiting time for the user to load, and as practice shows, sometimes it reduces to zero, since every second one does not even notice this process, while studying the page.
