Billion devices with Bluetooth

Today, Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) announced that the number of devices using Bluetooth technology has reached one billion devices and their number is growing at an average speed of 12 million per week. According to Dr. Michael Foley (Michael Foley, Ph.D.), the group's executive director, this is more than the number of personal computer users and equal to the number of cell phones sold this year. Two billion are projected in 2010.
