The development of supercomputers and grid technologies was devoted to the President’s speech at the extended meeting of the Russian Security Council on July 28, 2009, which emphasized our technical gap in this issue: Russia ranks 15th in the number of installed supercomputers, and out of 500 supercomputers, As is known, 476 are accounted for by those created with the help of computers collected in the USA. Therefore, it was decided that this gap should be eliminated and eliminated with the support of the state (only is it too late?). After watching the video, after reading the article, you ask yourself questions: is this really a necessary decision or is there no place to put money again? And why just supercomputers? Maybe you should try to collect something easier? Or are they really so necessary? And the last question: even if such a colossal technical base is created, will it not stand idle without work?
