On cars and locomotives, if you look closely, there are small iron boxes - these are coded onboard sensors (CBD).
They are encrypted information about the car and some other attributes. The sensors are programmed, but I want to tell you that only a sixfold "flashing" is possible, after the sensors become unchangeable. However, this is quite enough.
The sensor is a passive microwave element, that is, it does not contain components for generating microwave signals. The principle of the sensor is based on the modulation of the reflected microwave signal, which generates the irradiating and reading equipment of the readout point. Modulation is carried out in accordance with the identification code of the sensor.
Along the railway, in, let's call them control points, read points are set.
I think their appointment is clear.
The readout point is a two-channel system for polling the parameters of a passing device: a high-frequency polling channel installed on locomotives and carriages of CBD sensors, consisting of an antenna, a high-frequency, low-frequency path of the reader, and more piles of different parts.
The read information is encoded in the CC. Further, it is properly processed and used for its intended purpose.
