The idea: to create an international indexing system for blogs like JFBB, but indexing all the largest blog services in the world and issuing a worldwide ranking of posts and blogs.
It can be based on one of the major search engines or on its own search engine.
The main feature of the system is the translation service, the backbone of which will be made up by professionals, but with the ability for volunteers to edit and correct professional translation (as in Wikipedia).

Translation will first be carried out into the most popular languages ​​- English, Russian, French, etc., then any translators from any countries of the world could form a professional group - readers would be.
The goal is to make the sharing of information on blogs truly global and using unbiased criteria (the quantity and quality of links, comments, views) to identify topics of truly global interest.
This idea was brought to me by the regular reading of the Yandex Top - despite the Russian, and even slightly wider coverage, most of the records suffer from some kind of localization, evoking the impression of a bog from the boring topics in which bloggers got stuck. The system of global exchange of opinions, of course, will bring a fresh stream of blogomysl in all languages ​​in which it will work.
Of course, the prices for promotion in blogs will grow :) But then it will be easy to monetize the system due to the sales of display advertising.
UPD In lichku I wrote that such an idea could fly into a pretty penny. I do not think. The biggest difficulty, it seems to me, is in the technical support of the issue - your search engine is expensiveand stupid . But there is a Google Blog Search and there is Yandex, which is increasingly actively indexing the English-language Internet - the use of their technologies makes this idea at least feasible. The blog search itself can remain Google or Yandex, the system itself will only accompany them with translations and, possibly, comments like “stories” in livejournal.ru. This is already a question of a small team of professional translators and editors + user support, which will undoubtedly be.
The PR project, as well as many original ideas of this kind, will be given to the media, completely free of charge, because the topic of global exchange of opinions at least fits into the global informational context, in other words, “you have to go to court”.
