I would like to share my idea to improve domain control. More precisely - on their timely extension in the modern technological style.
Why is this relevant?
For me personally, the control of a number of domain names scattered across different registrars is a problem.
Mail alerts about the end of registration is a good thing, of course, but letters do not always reach, sometimes they get spammed, sometimes they are not sent, sometimes mail servers fall down - there are many reasons for notices by mail.
Actually the idea:
Create in the functionality of domain registrars calendars of the expiration of the registration period of your domain names. :)
The cost of implementing this for registrars penny. The advantages for both registrars (in the form of a larger number of domains to be extended) and for users (no need to periodically look at several domain control panels) face.
ICal format
It has long been adopted and approved.
')
Clients to view iCal
It has long existed: Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Calendar / Sunbird, Mail Evolution ...
Convenient tools for creating iCal streams
In them, too, special problems are not noticed (for example, under PHP,

and here )
Server implementation
It should be simple, like all ingenious :) - This calendar should be accessible by read-only Authorization - it is impossible to give the right to write something to the user.
Algorithm: Calendar request by http address, Basic-Authorization on the server, selection of dates by domains, return in the ICal format.
Benefits
For registrars - a greater number of renewable domains.
For users - removing the headache for managing domain names.
disadvantages
A business built on the interception of domains will become more difficult to live
