Shoot3D - mocap. The mystery of the dancing men

Accidentally stumbled upon the revolutionary technology of motion capture (Motion Capture) which IMHO is a breakthrough in the future. This technology of markerless motion capture allows having two ordinary webcams to introduce human movement into a computer.

To understand the essence - the easiest way to view YouTube video:

This technology of markerless motion capture allows having four, three, two or even one penny webcam to introduce human movement into a computer. The above video, in particular, was filmed on two sixty-block webcams. Yes, technology is not perfect yet. The skeleton is simple, capture is done not “on the fly” but rather for a long time. But these are minor technical details. It is obvious that in the near future this will be overcome.

And why is this all? And now imagine the near future. As soon as the position of the limbs can be caught on the fly, our ideas about interfaces can change a lot. In particular, such interfaces will make a breakthrough in the industry of three-dimensional modeling (online 3d sculpture with their own hands) and computer games (oh, yes!). This MoCap technology, unlike the expensive marker, is capable of revolution, because the cost of such an interface is already now - a penny - it will be available to everyone in 5 years. Well, then - what are the development prospects opening ... let's fantasize in the comments? ;)
