The Windows Team Blog has requirements for applications that want to get into the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, which is about to start this fall.
These requirements are the passing of Microsoft Application Verifier tests during program operation, during which memory leaks, crashes, etc. will be monitored.
Also, one of the requirements is to fulfill the checklist “Windows Marketplace Application Submission Requirements”, which includes quite specific items.
All this applies to applications under Windows Mobile 6.x; Applications written for earlier versions of the OS will appear in the Windows Marketplae for Mobile closer to the end of the year, but it is possible that they will be subject to the same requirements.
