Today we have, perhaps, the most significant update since the launch of Habr: we finally redid almost everything that did not suit us or just didn’t really like it. Namely:

The old hat was fed up with the order, and the piece of navigation in it (“blogs” / “people” / “companies”, etc.) brought some confusion, although everyone got used to it. Now all navigation is collected in one place, the logo has moved to the center, and the information in the account block has acquired a more austere, but at the same time more convenient form: for example, to find out the remaining votes for karma and comments, you do not need to wait for the viola to appear in the airship, which now also became part of the story. Everything flows, everything changes.

"Blogs" section
This is my favorite innovation. From now on, several hundred blogs are divided into several categories and equipped with a convenient search. We will add new blogs later. At about the same time, your profile will change the profile of your blog, as well as the rating of blogs: it will be calculated a little differently than it is now.
User Profile
The changes are more cosmetic. They removed the arrows for voting for karma in their profile, grouped actions like “write a letter” and “add as friend” in the drop-down menu, changed the place for tweets.
Karma
No, they did nothing with karma itself, but as an experiment they placed an arrow next to the user's nickname called “Yes, I want to put a little sign in the karma to this wonderful person because he wrote such a useful topic!” correct balance, which is biased towards minuses due to some peculiarities of human psychology. Next to the comments of this arrow will not be soon, we remove.

The rest of the changes are minor. In particular, the styles of links have changed in some places, the appearance of the “Live broadcast” block has slightly changed, a bit more elegant paginator has become, and there are also a few minor changes that it does not make sense to mention.
And yes, something special, we still decided to postpone for some time.
And further. I understand perfectly well that many are accustomed to the past and innovations are considered a little less terrible than the apocalypse. And some are so inclined to consider such changes as the “beginning of the end. Do not worry so much. This is just a habit: it will take half a year and most of you will forget what Habre looked like in the summer of 2009. In addition, Habru makes it worse or better than the header or the color of the links, but the content .
