Shambler is one of the characters in my favorite quake game. One strange comrade came up with the idea of taking a 3d model straight from the game and making a pattern on it, so that such a model could be assembled from paper. The pattern is colored, takes only three sheets a4, you can take it
here , along with a small guide to making. I used Moment glue, stationery and nail scissors, a nail file to press the edges to be glued. It turned out that with such small sizes the paper is quite durable material and keeps its shape perfectly. I absolutely do not like any such classes, but the assembly of this model rather resembled a logical problem: often you just have to turn the parts in your hands in order to understand what is generally where it should fit and in what sequence it is easier (generally possible) to assemble. In general, photos of the process in order under the cut.

By the way, yes, if someone tells you to which thematic blog this refers to - move it there.

This is how the Shambler looked in the game.

Partially assembled left hand and the remaining intact part of the pattern.

It’s a good idea to keep partially assembled parts, especially fingers, signed: it’s very easy to get confused, and it’s very difficult to figure out which part to attach to later.

It looks like a carved unbent finger.

Carved hand pieces. It is better to work all the bends before gluing, I used one of the scissors blades for this. After such processing, the assembled part looks like a polygon model, which is good. Otherwise, the paper just bends, does not look like a 3d model, which is unacceptable.

Three components of the right hand. The hands are different in design, even the fingers on them are all different. It is worth paying attention to the crease on the left part, in the end it will be on the belly of Shambler. If it is not carefully worked out before the assembly, then the parts will never converge.

The two parts of the hand are glued together, you can assemble the whole hand.

Collect fingers - the most disgusting. They are small, it is not clear what should be approached and completely uncomfortable to glue, especially the last finger is not clear how to hold it so that it is well glued. Maybe it was necessary to glue them before the final collection of hands ... Well, maybe.

Hands in the collection. Surprisingly, it turned out. This seems to be the end of the third or fourth day. In total, the process took a week of leisurely classes in the evenings.

The lower part of the body is cut in one piece.

Partially glued lower part of Chambler.

Inside each foot is 20 kopecks. For weight, and just like that, the modelka's center of gravity was under the feet, and the model didn’t turn over without it. At the same time, you can estimate the scale.

Attention to the folds on the stomach and side, I do not understand why they were, probably it was in the original 3d model, but it was a mess ...

Everything is ready for the end of the assembly.

That such joy now lives on my column. If anyone is going to do - do not forget to show what happened with you.
