Results of the Mozilla Labs Design Challenge
As probably many people know, Mozilla Labs held a competition for reinventing tabs. Now they are ready to voice the results.
- TabViz project is recognized as the most innovative . offering a radial tab system. In my opinion it is not realistic to use with a large number of tabs.
- the project “folding tab groups” was recognized as the best in terms of execution . Suggests grouping tabs in the sidebar, in accordance with certain rules. In my opinion this is the best solution proposed.

- the Wave project is the best in terms of computer user interaction . Assuming the use of page thumbnails. Something reminded Opera last incarnations.
- The Favitabs project is recognized as the easiest to implement . Suggesting the use of pictograms. Also quite a sensible project.
I think very soon we will find out exactly what Mozilla itself will choose.
