"Rambler" takes quality?

The Arton Consulting Agency investigated the quality indicators of the audience attracted to the websites of Russian companies from various search engines. The data obtained, which can be called unexpected, was presented at the RIFE-2007 agency marketing director Dmitry Malyavkin. According to him, the quality indicators of the audience from the “Rambler” turned out to be noticeably higher than those demonstrated by the audience from other search engines.

The sample of "Arton" includes 12 sites of commercial structures, agency clients, the total attendance of which is more than 1 million people. Evaluation of the quality of user streams was made on the basis of the depth of view and return to the site. In particular, the agency calculated for each of the sites the proportion of visitors who viewed four pages or more, as well as the proportion of visitors who returned to the site again, but not earlier than the next day. At the same time, not the entire flow of the audience from search engines was investigated, but only the one that went on specific target queries.

“The results obtained are amazing,” Dmitry Malyavkin told Habrahabru. - “Rambler” leads in the quality of the audience with a noticeable margin. ” According to him, out of 24 measurements (12 sites for two indicators), the audience who came from this search engine - 22 excellent results. Yandex, Mail.Ru and Google showed more modest performance:

The sample, as reported by Malyavkin, is successful: this was confirmed when comparing the proportion of search traffic with LiveInternet statistics. According to the "Arton", search engines give sites about 39% of traffic approximately in this ratio:


At the same time, it is noted that Google is gradually increasing its share due to the share (but not the audience) of Rambler. “True, very slowly,” adds Dmitry Malyavkin.
