Do you know what the Internet is?

14% of Russians have no idea about the Internet. This is evidenced by data from a survey conducted by sociologists of the Analytical Center of Yuri Levada. Among those who have never heard such a word “Internet” - most of all are pensioners and people with less than average education (over the past five years, the number of people unaware of the world wide web has decreased by half). At the same time, over the past five years, the number of Russians constantly using the global network has increased from 4 to 17 percent.
