So, you are a resident of the space under the common name “Outside US”, you finally got an invite to
Google Voice and as it should be a decent zadroda and a fan of Google services do you really want to register there, give Google money or just get a toll-free number in the United States (and why do you need it?).
You happily follow the link and read:
“Google Voice is not available in your country.
Thanks for visiting Google Voice. We are not planning to expand our services, but we are planning to expand our services. „
')
But where our not disappeared! (ours, disappeared everywhere!).
Therefore, the restriction on IP addresses is not a hindrance.
We go
here (for example) and look for a working proxy with https support (this is important, because it does not allow via http).
I have earned 216.147.135.62:80 (I will not tell you how to register a proxy in Firefox, since the next steps are also not the most banal).
Now we go to
google.com/voice and use the invite that we have been waiting for.
But an ambush, in order to create an account in Google Voice, you need a working number in the United States of America, because this (and potentially other numbers) will be redirected to calls from your number that Google will give you.
And there are no numbers. (Here I immediately rushed for the American SIM-card, but while I was searching for it I remembered that there was no roaming there).
The main thing - maneuvers!
We go to the
IPKall website and get a number in Washington, which can be absolutely free of charge forwarded to any SIP. In my case, this is anton@merkurov.com, in yours, probably something like 12345@sipnet.ru.
Just in case: IPKall SIP Phone Number is the username, and SIP Proxy is the domain.
So, now we have the incoming American number on our SIP.
We feed him Google.Voice, which calls back and asks for a couple of magic numbers.
Voila
Google Voice account is ready. Now you can enter from any country, including and from Russia.
The question why it is you - remains open.
