parser for code

I would like to raise the issue of the parser on Habré.

Often it parses what is between <code> </ code> by the same rules as plain text. This is disgusting and very uncomfortable. For example, the URL part of the URL is eaten by the http part, while the tabs and indents are completely ignored. I don’t even ask to make the code highlighting (although there are any ready-made ones implementing this), but at least its neat formatting. Try inserting a couple of large pieces of code and see what happens. Surely dig up a couple of things that should be corrected.
