Apple moved to 5th place in the US computer sales market share

IDC published a report on computer sales in the US market in the second quarter of 2009. A significant drop in sales compared with last year showed Apple and Dell, sales of which fell by 12.4% and 18.9%, respectively. After this fall, Apple, as a computer manufacturer, dropped from fourth place (in the first quarter of 2009) to the fifth in total US sales. A year ago, Apple was in third place. Apple's market share fell from 8.5% to 7.6% of the total market.





Some analysts are inclined to believe that the fall in Apple sales is due to the aggressive advertising company Microsoft and the unimportant economic situation in the last quarter of 2009.
