New diff mechanism, 9 times less bsdiff

Chromium has created a new diff diff compression technology called Courgette. Courgette takes up 9 times less space than its counterparts (diff, bsdiff), thanks to a new algorithm for storing diffs.
The technical part can be found here . Interestingly, Google Chrome uses silent updates. Those. I no longer decide for my browser when to update it. Not good. Well, that new technology will be open.
